Here's some guidance to ease your travels.

<aside> 💡 Coming from Porto without a car?

Option 1: Fastest (Bolt or Uber)

Cost: ~€50 from Porto centre or ~€35 from Porto airport (Bolt is typically cheaper than Uber for this route)

Time: ~45 minutes

Important: Both Bolt and Uber apps have a routing issue and won't take you directly to our location. Here's how to handle this:

1. Book your ride to: Caminho da Regedoura, Deocriste, Portugal
2. Before you get in: Show your driver this address on Google Maps and show them this message: "O GPS do Bolt/Uber não funciona bem para este endereço. Por favor use Google Maps para: Caminho da Regedoura, Deocriste, Portugal. Vou ajudar no final da viagem." Translation: "The Bolt/Uber GPS doesn't work well for this address. Please use Google Maps for: Caminho da Regedoura, Deocriste, Portugal. I'll help at the end of the trip.”
3. At the end: The app will route to the wrong location - you may need to direct your driver using Google Maps for the final few hundred meters

From Porto Airport: Look for the dedicated Bolt & Uber pickup point (go down one floor, take the tunnel, 3-minute walk). Bolt & Uber drivers won’t be able to pick you up directly at the regular exit.

Option 2: Most Affordable (Train + Taxi)

From Porto city center (Train + Taxi):

• Cost: ~€13-23 total | Time: ~1hr 30min
• Take the train to Viana do Castelo station (~€3-8, 1hr 15min)
• Take a Bolt/Uber/taxi from the station (€10-15) - taxis wait outside regularly

From Porto Airport (Bus + Taxi):

• Cost: ~€14-19 total | Time: ~1hr 30min
• Take the direct bus to Viana do Castelo station (~€4, 1hr)
• Take a Bolt/Uber/taxi from the station (€10-15)

Note: Darque station is technically closer, but no taxis wait there.

For arrival, Bolt is recommended. For departure, Bolt mostly works but at odd hours (Sunday, 5AM, etc, we recommend going with a local taxi.
